Christian Harris
Founder & Senior Instructor
Christian Harris is the visionary founder of BP School of Real Estate and Principal Broker of BPRE, bringing over 17 years of experience across residential, commercial, and property management sectors. Her journey began in Portsmouth, Virginia, working in leasing under the mentorship of her mother, Mona, and has since evolved into a legacy of leadership, education, and empowerment in the real estate industry.
Christian built her reputation by helping clients and agents navigate complex real estate deals with clarity and confidence. Passionate about closing the knowledge gap, she launched BP School of Real Estate to offer practical, inclusive education — from licensing and inspections to commercial real estate training and continuing education.
Driven by purpose and guided by the legacy of her late grandmother, Barbara Porter, Christian is committed to helping others rise through real estate by creating opportunities, building strong foundations, and leading with integrity.

Pre-Licensing
Virginia Pre-Licensing Requirements
To become a licensed real estate salesperson in Virginia, you must complete 60 hours of approved pre-licensing education. Our comprehensive courses cover:
- Principles and Practices of Real Estate
- Virginia Real Estate Law
- Fair Housing and Ethics
- Contract Law and Agency
- Property Valuation and Financing
Getting Started
Our pre-licensing courses are designed to prepare you not just for the exam, but for a successful career in real estate. We offer flexible scheduling options including online, in-person, and hybrid formats to fit your lifestyle.
Upon completion, you'll receive your certificate to submit with your licensing application to the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).
Enroll in Pre-LicensingPost-Licensing & Continuing Education
Virginia Post-Licensing Requirements
New licensees in Virginia must complete 30 hours of post-licensing education within their first year of licensure. This training includes:
- Advanced Contract Writing and Negotiations
- Risk Management and Ethics
- Practical Application of Real Estate Principles
- Specialized Topics in Residential and Commercial Real Estate
Continuing Education (CE)
All Virginia real estate licensees must complete 16 hours of continuing education every two years to renew their license, including:
- 8 hours of Legal Updates and Emerging Trends
- 8 hours of Elective Topics (Commercial, Property Management, Investment, etc.)
